Manufacturing Improvement Manager for the Richlands FMCG Production Facility.Reporting directly to the Operations Manager I am responsible for the sites Savings targets and Manufacturing efficiency improvement.I have a team of 7 direct Reports which include:* 1 Environmental Specialist * 2 Continuous Improvement Engineers* 2 Technical Trainers* 2 Technical WritersOur Team continually analyses performance across the site in all areas and identifies opportunities of improvement. We then utilise Lean manufacturing tools to work with the Operations teams to deliver the required results.Some of the Key Improvement Strategies used are:* Run Multiple Focus Improvement Projects across the site* Report monthly to our National Supply Chain Director on our Yearly initiatives including our status updates, achieved and what’s up coming.* Coach and develop the Frontline Leaders in Problem Solving and Leadership Skills.* Coach and develop our Frontline Teams in situational Problem Solving* Lead 5S programs across Production Lines* Lead the Training and Assessment programs for New Starters and Operators learning new Assets* Write, Review and check all documentation on site including Centrelining, Troubleshooting guides, checklists, SOPs and Work Instructions* Run New starters Induction training Weeks* Analyse all Manufacturing downtime data across the plant and identify opportunities* Analyse Syrup Yields in depth to target improvement opportunities and waste* Analyse our spend through SAP to identify waste and overspend* Analyse our environmental Metrics in Water and Energy to identify waste* Implement Improvement Projects in respect to Water and Energy savingsI also work closely with the Operations Manager and Finance Partner not only day to day in respect to performance but also Monthly on our site financial and efficiency report outs and yearly to set our budgets and plan our savings targets.
