Assistant Director, Integrated Learning Systems
Current• Developing and directing flexible, agile approaches to improve the learning management environment and integrated academic technologies in support of the faculty and students of Northeastern University, with a focus on mobile and web-based technologies• Managing all technical aspects of integrations with the Enterprise Learning Management System for the university, providing the vision and direction for the technical architecture, administration, and support of all teaching and learning software for the university• Managing support staff for the LMS, lecture capture infrastructure, and survey infrastructure• Serving as technical project management lead for all teaching and learning projects, such as the merging of our online and enterprise LMS instances, and the transition to a new LMS (from Blackboard to Canvas).• Providing system integration, data services, and analytics based on academic technology usage data. Architecting solutions and queries to gather stats from databases to measure trends in usage of academic technologies• Providing research and support for the implementation of new and cutting-edge academic technologies such as classroom lecture capture and clicker technologies, supporting faculty with special computing and technology needs• Advocating for faculty and student computing needs in support of better teaching, learning, research, and accessibility• Providing technical outreach to the university library and colleges, communicating changes to the community, bridging the technical and non-technical• Managing the authoring of documentation for faculty and students for Canvas and other teaching and learning technologies, managing the provision of training for the usage, support, and administration of the Enterprise LMS
