Summer 2014: (Python)• Performed a data analysis of the Spectroscopic and Photometric Landscape of Andromeda's Stellar Halo (SPLASH) Survey spectra from the Keck II Telescopes to identify M-giant stars in the Andromeda Galaxy. • Identified trends of M-giant stars in the SPLASH Survey and determined different M giant subtypes, improved classifications of M-giant spectra as well as an extended temperature scale for M stars.Summer 2015: (Python)• Analyzed model pressure-temperature profiles of exoplanet atmospheres to determine molecular signatures of 21 elemental and molecular species.• Modeled the effect of additional atmospheric factors such as variations in atmospheric turbulence as well as disequilibrium conditions affecting major absorbers in any given atmosphere • Established the chemical abundances of common and exotic chemical species in hot Jupiter and brown dwarf atmospheres
