As the primary supervisor for all Logistical functions within the RDC, my daily role varies based on the needs of the site. On any given day, challenges include directly communicating with our client on inventory and operational issues to providing root cause analysis reporting. In addition to the standard responsibilities for a Logistics Manager, my training includes Deploy upkeep, EBIT, daily reporting metrics, EMS, safety, invoicing and upkeep of all site reporting systems and metrics. Through engagement with my own professional development plan, our site has implemented continuous site improvement using 5S, 7 Waist, and Lean processes including Kazan, A3, and PSJ analysis. Finally, in engaging the needs of our client, I have undertaken responsibility in traveling and training Operation and Inventory teams across the network in customer process and Best Business Practices. Through engaging with our client, I was responsible for monitoring and movement of physical inventory in order to maintain inventory accuracy. In addition to standard supervisory duties, my role included working directly with our client inventory related issues and leading the development and implementation of solutions.Customer Logistics Manager Achievements:• Reduced RMA unresolved inventory from over 4,000 pieces to under 800 and reduced RMA receiving time to 24 hours or less• Raised inventory accuracy from an overall 61% to 99.8%Traveled to Aberdeen, Minooka and Fairburn RDC and prepped facilities for end of year Physical Inventory reduced inventory adjustments by $1,000,000

Recognizing a need for inventory management, I was engaged to create and develop from scratch all inventory policies in an environment where there was limited accountability. In addition to policy, this role included development of the process, training, and tracking for compliance to best practices and standards common in the industry. To achieve a positive result, I developed and implemented Inventory Control procedures in Tecsys WMS system leading to an overall 65% reduction in labor while increasing production.

During a time of recession, my roles included leadership in a number of different departments including Information Technology, Quality Assurance, Inventory Control, and Receiving. This multi-department leadership approach allowed me to experience a variety of operational needs and design and implement solutions from each of the departments’ perspectives.
