Going to work with my Father on Saturday’s shaped me into being an entrepreneur from a very young age. I learned that focused and dedicated work can turn into a nice home, education, toys, travel and security. He taught me that mistakes are necessary tools for learning, but don’t make too many. Be tenacious and proud of taking care of your family, and for being able to contribute to others. Perhaps the biggest lessons were that it takes mutual respect to have thriving relationships with employees, customers and vendors; and the culture of the company makes all the difference!I’ve been a small business owner for more than 25 years, with aspects as varied as the corporate positions I’ve held for 40 years – mostly concurrent – I’m not actually as old as dirt 😉 My current and forever-into-the-future business – The Davis Agency, Financial ServicesI work primarily with two companies that operate as one in their product and training expansion, their growth and standing in the marketplace, and in their intentions to shift the financial savvy, preparedness and outcomes for all. I’m proud to be a part of their culture: “Do Good, Be Good, Make Good” In alliance with these companies, I’m in business for myself, and never by myself! My approach to business is the same as my approach to everything –straight through my heart!
