Reduced the inventory size by 70% through TEAMWORK (Planning team, Procurement team and Warehousing team) by by ABC/ VED/ FSN analysis from 3.2 lakhs to 90,000 only.3. Ensured operational logistics and financial support to the tune of Rs 1500 Crores, to all ships and organisations under entire Eastern Naval Command (spread over 2500 kms coastline).4. Established the Logistics set-up onboard INS Dhruv from bare metal. USP - 1st of its kind, unique in operations and only of its kind Strategic platform of the Indian Navy.5. Undertook audit cum defect rectification and design change where necessary of logistic compartments to improve ergonomics and mitigated design issues.6. Undertook digitisation of more than 1,89,000 dockets/ folders of retired personnel for the FIRST time in the history of Naval Pension Office.7. Ensured flawless mapping of 3.5 crore pages on SAP as part of PM’S Digital India Mission. -

Accrued in savings to state to the tune Rs 750 Crores through better monitoring of inventory, focused attention and higher demand compliance to customers (ships and establishments).3. Effectively undertook/ concluded multiple high-value central procurements/ contracts valuing over Rs 475 Crores for machinery spares, naval stores and clothing through detailed negotiations and effective stakeholder management.4. Led a team of 400 personnel at international events like IFR, MILAN, PFR and participated in multi-lateral exercises with foreign navies namely USA, UK, Australia, Singapore, Japan, France.5. Orchestrated flawless Supply chain of various stores namely equipment, spare parts, clothing/ apparels and victuals demonstrating unparalleled foresight, meticulous planning, and rigorous daily execution oversight.6. Aided in logistics operations and undertook crisis management and disaster relief as well as mitigated risk during Tsunami at Port Blair (2004), Super Cyclone Bangladesh (2008), Cyclone Hud Hud (2014) and during COVID-19 (2020). -

Its primary role is retention of pension and other documents in the record rooms/ electronic form. As head of the unit’s logistics department, worked with a team of over 120 service and civilian personnel to look after the welfare of more than 1,30,000 naval veterans. It was an unique opportunity to interact with those who served the nation and resolve their pension related problems/ issues. It’s an immensely satisfying appointment and challenging tenure at the same time to resolve diverse queries of many veterans in a timebound manner.Jul 2018-Oct 2022Logistics Officer onboard Ocean Surveillance Ship INS Dhruv - As Commissioning Crew, pioneered the Logistic set-up onboard Indian Naval Ship Dhruv from scratch which holds the unique distinction of being the first of its kind, unique in operations and only of its kind Strategic platform of the Indian Navy. As head of the logistics department, led a team of over 45 Service sailors, 2 Officers, and over 350 service and civilian personnel in providing the multi-facet logistics support including, lodging, food, sourcing of miscellaneous stores naval stores, general stores and maintenance of equipment thereby ensuring operational efficiency round the clock and successful completion of all assigned tasks/ missions. The challenges of dealing with various agencies during the construction and subsequent delivery phase, only taught a new lesson in life to be more positive despite multiple setbacks. -
Team LeaderIndian Navy Apr 2017 - Jul 2018Pan IndiaApr 2017-Jul 2018Staff Officer (Budget) and Staff Officer (Contracts) at Headquarters Eastern Naval Command, Visakhapatnam - On completion of my Master of Science in Defence & Strategic Studies from the prestigious Defence Services Staff College at Wellington, I was directly responsible for providing operational logistics and financial support to the tune of Rs 1500 Crores, to all ships and organizations under the entire Eastern Naval Command. This involved financial management at large scale and maintaining close communication and liaison with the Integrated Headquarters, Ministry of Defence at Delhi on regular basis. I was assigned two independent portfolios namely, Staff Officer (Budget) and Staff Officer (Contracts), responsible for ensuring timely conclusion of more than 200 contracts of various units towards seamless operations without any disruption in services. I conducted various seminars on 7th Central Pay Commission Benefits, Goods and Services Tax since the nation was undergoing transition from erstwhile taxation policy to the present day GST, Defence Financial Management, Contract Management with special emphasis on hiring of manpower which included payment of EPI/ EPF viz, Employee Personal Insurance/ Employee Provident Fund to enlighten personnel and empower them with additional knowledge for them to discharge their duties diligently and efficiently at lower formations. -

As head of the logistics department, led a team of over 45 Service sailors, 2 Officers and over 350 personnel in providing the multi-faceted logistics support including lodging, food, sourcing of various miscellaneous stores, naval stores, general stores and maintenance of equipment thereby ensuring operational efficiency at all times. Aided in logistics operations for disaster relief management during Cyclone Hud-Hud at Visakhapatnam in Oct 2014. I participated in multi-lateral exercises with Foreign navies namely USA, Australia, Singapore, Japan, France to name a few. I was selected to undergo the prestigious staff course at Defence Services Staff College (DSSC) at Wellington where I was awarded Master of Science (Defence and Strategic Studies). Interacted with various officers from more than 40 different nations and exchanged thoughts with them so as to improve in every aspect of life.Sep 2011-Jul 2014Controller of Material Planning at Material Organisation, Kochi - In Sep 11, I was posted at Material Organisation as Deputy/ Controller Material Planning. The unit had a larger complement of over 400 personnel. The Material Organisation Kochi caters for the material requirements of the units and ships based in Southern Naval Command. I was undertaking operational Logistics activities by being responsible for the planning, provisioning, procurement, warehousing and post contract management of Government stores comprising general stores, equipment and spares of various equipment of different class of ships to the tune of Rs 600 Crores for ships and base establishments. I had the opportunity of reducing the inventory size by 70% (from 3.2 lakh to 90,000 items only) through TEAMWORK (Planning team, Procurement team and Warehousing team) resulting in better compliance to customers (ships and establishments). -
Team LeaderIndian Navy Nov 2006 - Sep 2011Pan IndiaJun 2009-Sep 2011Logistics Officer at Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala - On completion of my Masters in Business Administration (Logistics Management) from INS Hamla (Goa University), I was appointed as the maiden commissioning Logistics Officer of the largest Naval Academy of Asia viz Indian Naval Academy (INA). Unlike the previous ship tenure as Logistics Officer where work was streamlined, INA had multiple challenges because of its location and everything had to be established from scratch. As the maiden Logistics Officer, this tenure offered many more challenges and opportunities and instilled a lot of confidence in ensuring supply chain to the remote location since any disruption would have led to interruption in training of cadets/ young minds which was neither negotiable nor acceptable being a premier defence service training establishment of Indian Navy. I was directly responsible for handling the mammoth budget of the Indian Naval Academy and ensure nil deficiency towards training of cadets and gentlemen officers. Also, had the privilege of teaching three subjects namely Inventory Management to cadets, Divsional Officer Duties and Leadership Management to Gentlemen Officers. Nov 2006-Jun 2009Logistics Officer onboard Landing Ship Tank INS Gharial - Prior to my completion of specialisation course, I was appointed onboard a Landing Ship Tank, INS Gharial where I served for 18 months. I was responsible for logistics administration, human resource management of over 150 personnel. Maintenance of Supply chain of various stores which includes equipment, spare parts, clothing/ apparels and victuals thereby ensuring logistics readiness of over 150 personnel. Aided in logistics operations for disaster relief management during Super Cyclone at Bangladesh in 2007-08. There were 12 officers and 126 sailors working with me. -

The double hat appointment entailed looking after all the aspects of two very important sections of the Logistic organisation. I was responsible for logistics administration, human resource management of over 350 personnel. Maintenance of Supply chain of various stores which includes equipment, spare parts, clothing/ apparels and victuals. There were 2 officers and 30 sailors working with me.
