I am a retiring Marine Corps officer with more than 23 years of experience in international partnerships, talent management, and logistics. Currently I am working in the U.S. Embassy in Oslo, Norway, and planning to retire from active service and settle in the Chicago area during 2025. I see myself working in international business development, strategic partnerships, or government outreach and policy. All of my roles have been leadership and supervisor positions, from a section of two to a company of more than 200. I have found that I am a highly effective leader in any situation and unit, but I believe I am strongest when in charge of a small team of experts tackling real challenges and devising creative solutions. For the past four years I have been able to apply every skill and ability gained over the previous 20, working to find the best solutions for our Allies while accomplishing my assigned tasks for the U.S. That includes diplomacy with the Department of State and partner nation Ministries of Foreign Affairs, business acumen with the Department of Commerce and industry counterparts, leading informational tours with elected politicians, and, of course, military and law enforcement leadership from multiple countries.Specific areas of work that appeal to me are international business development, strategic partnerships, and government or institutional policy advisory in a company or organization with a global focus. I believe that the time I have spent in outward-facing roles with a long record of success achieving my objectives make me an especially good fit for these types of positions.
