"AVOID accounting modules at all costs" was what I told myself back then, when I was choosing my specialization in polytechnic. And I did. Boring, repetitive and about to be replaced by Artificial Intelligence was what I thought it was. The me back then would have been horrified if she found out that future her would be taking Accountancy as a major in University after doing odd jobs and pursuing her interests during her gap year. Even more so when she discovers that it was her first choice and that she's actually enjoying it.Accounting isn't boring. for me, studying it feels like going a fieldtrip to visit and learn about companies in different countries, industries and how they work. Having taken two modules on accounting so far, I could already see how what I had learnt could make a difference for a business. Also, repetition and AI taking over accountants and auditors? No way, it's only going to make our jobs more exciting by removing the mundane and repetitive stuff. Then again, I have yet to experience how it truly is out of theoretical context. It could just prove my little self right. But as of now, I really do enjoy learning more about it. Thank you for coming to my TEDtalk, I hope you enjoyed reading it. Please have a nice day <(_ _)>If you aren't, I'd like to share with you a cute quote:"Hey, It's okay to fall apart sometimes Tacos fall apart and we still love them ♡”
