Cecilia R. Chapman, RDN, CDE Cecilia R. Chapman is president and owner of About LifeStyle, Inc. She provides group and personal wellness Sessions for individuals and their families. She is a bilingual (English/Spanish) Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) and a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE). As a dietitian, Cecilia provides evidence-based nutrition principle interventions with emphasis on weight management. In the area of diabetes, Cecilia, addresses diabetes prevention and diabetes self-management. She practices patient centered strategies in helping individuals through Medical Nutrition Therapy to make their own realistic and achievable goals in improving their outcomes and prevent or delay chronic complications. Heart healthy topics are included in all sessions. Cecilia has presented a variety of presentations to small and large healthcare professional groups during conferences; Central Arizona Association Diabetes Educators, Midwestern University, City of Phoenix, National Native American Conference. Cecilia has been working in the field of diabetes since 2000 where she started at St. Vincent de Paul’s Medical Clinic as a Diabetes Coordinator. During this time, she helped develop and implemented the, “Family Diabetes Program,” and the, “Every Little Step Counts Program.” These two programs continue to help the community prevent and manage diabetes for the uninsured and the underserved community in Maricopa County in Arizona. She worked as a bilingual (English/Spanish) diabetes clinical educator at Publicis Touchpoint Solutions Program (AstraZeneca) and QuintilesIMS (Sanofi, USA) in the CDE HELP Team Program. She provided diabetes education sessions for patients diagnosed with type 1 or type 2 diabetes and trained healthcare professionals including Clinic’s staff in diabetes management. She received several awards including the Director’s Award for 2016. .
