➢ Serves as Senior Manager for Logistic and Property Management Section (S4), and also managed installation property assets valued in excess of $121 million dollars for the 1st Special Forces Group Airborne and supported international satellite activities/ Unit located in the Eastern Hemisphere includes all of Asia, most of Africa, Australia/Oceania, and most of Europe. ➢ Provides supervision to 18 to 25 military and civilian personnel; plans work schedules and sequence of operations on a weekly, monthly and project basis.Reviews all purchase requests submitted by supported activities for non-expendable/expendable supplies and equipment. Provides approval authority for the organizational clothing and individual Equipment program for over 4,500 Soldiers/Employee’s for the direct purchase of non-expendable equipment from commercial businesses. Coordinates with other Special Operations logistics facilities in the Special Forces Community and Department of Defense in all five Continents to exchange information on operations, in accountability, requisition, receipt, storage, issue, turn-in, transfer, disposal, excess property management etc. ➢ Implements and manages Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support System (DMLSS), in accordance with automated data systems user’s manual, Army regulations and other applicable directives. Makes determination of local needs of excess equipment based on budgetary factors and reviews authorization allowances to validate customer requirements. Maintains document control and ensures that appropriate action is taken to report to the Commander on property, which is destroyed, lost, stolen, or damaged. Responsible for mid-year and year-end review, plans submission of appropriate justifications for requirements not financed during the regular budget process.
