Position entailed management of nine direct reports in two states performing three distinct functions: 1) post-funding resolutions involved issuing high monthly volume of refunds to mortgage customers according to TRID requirements, including Closing Disclosure corrections and loan analysis; 2) flood review involved testing and reporting on 300+ funded loans per month to ensure flood insurance documentation accuracy; and 3) systems maintenance involving employee system access and hierarchical functionalities.

Position involved management of six direct reports in five states responsible for performing daily and weekly tests to ensure mortgage loans in process complied with Fair Lending, RESPA, TRID, and SAFE regulations, as well as Bank notary and signer requirements; development of desk procedures and monthly dashboard to report trends.

Position entailed (1) management of employees responsible for validating monthly mortgage compliance test results designed to identify a variety of compliance concerns specializing in ECOA, HMDA, and other Fair Lending regulations. Position required in-depth knowledge of ECOA and HMDA regulatory requirements including those related to Notices of Incompleteness, Conditional Loan Approvals, loan disposition notices, and accurate data collection for annual reporting; (2) root cause analysis and tracking of defects identified by testing results; (3) preparing and revising formal procedures for each new Fair Lending requirement, as well as desk procedures for each new team process; (4) loan-level analysis in preparation for regulatory examinations; (5) researching and preparing responses to regulatory examination inquiries; (6) graph and chart preparation designed to track monthly trends and team results; and (7) employee management responsibilities such as development of new processes and workflows, coaching, performance management, and goal setting.

Position entailed (1) management of employees responsible for obtaining and tracking state loan origination licenses for all mortgage loan originators as required, and state lending licenses for 1,600+ branch offices; (2) obtaining and tracking FHA and VA registrations for all branch offices, as required; (3) preparing and revising formal policies and procedures for each new licensing requirement, as well as desk procedures for each new team process; and (4) graph and chart preparation designed to track monthly trends and team results.

Position entailed (1) obtaining sales finance, motor vehicle lessor, and other lending licenses as required; (2) assisting attorneys in the development and revision of retail installment contracts for direct and indirect motor vehicle lending and leasing; (3) performing audits of in-house collection processes to ensure compliance with statutory requirements, and assisting the line of business in bringing deficient procedures into compliance; (4) federal and state legislation tracking and analysis of impact to the line of business; (5) legal research; (6) deposition and witness preparation; (7) all aspects of discovery including interrogatory and request for production responses; (8) knowledge of various federal lending laws including UCCC, FDCPA, SCRA, TILA, as well as state lending laws governing lending, servicing, and collection; assisted with collection legal support for Card Services and Dealer Financial Services.
