About Celeste Eby
I am currently a Junior at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge majoring in Animal Sciences. In the coming months I will be sending out applications to Vet School pursuing my DVM. I aspire to specialize in equine medicine and become an Associate Veterinarian at a large animal practice. I have a passion for equine studies and I have pursued that passion by interning for Mountain Pointe Equine beside board certified veterinarians. With this job I expanded my knowledge of performance animal care and was able to observe and assist in several procedures. In addition, I work as a Technician’s Assistant at Bridgewater Veterinary Hospital where I learn about companion animal care, and how it differs from that of a large animal practice. There I assist with exams and daily technician duties. I intend to continue to further my studies as I shadow experienced veterinarians and seek out various opportunities within the field.As an ambitious worker I choose to maximize my time while I am in my undergraduate years. For the past five years I have maintained part time positions in the customer service industry in addition to being a full time student. From my collective work experience, both medical and customer service based, I have become proficient in working with a group, managing high stress situations, adapting and executing a plan, and being an overall strong worker. I am a perfectionist by nature and I have high expectations for what I am capable of. I have very strong communication skills and work well with a team, but I am also very independent and reliable when given individual work. If given the opportunity, I am confident I will prove to be a hard-working, dedicated, and valuable addition to any staff. I am very eager to expand my skill set and further my knowledge of veterinary medicine.
