Collaborate with other high school department administration, community organizations, students and teachers to enhance the growth and experience of all involved in CTE. Career and Technical Education teacher responsible for teaching Digital Tools, Computer Applications, Preparation for College and Careers and Merchandise Management. I began my teaching position in the Riley Early College Program and was also the chairperson for the Parent Institute Workshops. While chairperson there was an increase in parent attendance of 100%. My responsibilities as chairperson were to coordinate informational workshops for parents of first generation college students. Additional responsibilities included being the Internship Coordinator for the Engineering Magnet Program at Riley High School. In this role students were placed in appropriate aligned engineering internship that met their career objectives. While the coordinator for this position all students were placed in the program and after completion of internship were offered either part-time positions or scholarships to continue their education after high school by the placement site. I have also taught in the past other business classes such as; Introduction to Business, Introduction to Marketing, Entreprenuership, Research Marketing, Personal Finance, Accounting and Record Keeping. I have been a DECA and Business Professionals of America advisor. I have also been a building representative for the NEA. I have intermediate curriculum and instruction experience. I am a NASA certified instructor and have coordinated the NASA Ignite Summer Camps for the South Bend Community School Corporation. Last summer as the summer administrator for the NASA Ignite Summer Camp my responsibilities included: staff management, curriculum, student mangement, parent communications and business liaison for the camp.
