My mental health journey began when I decided to return to school to obtain an Associate Degree. I was undeclared and looking for direction but found inspiration in one of my fellow classmates to choose psychology as a career option. Shortly after that I began volunteering at a crisis hotline. I ultimately had to leave because working and going to school full time in addition to volunteering on the weekends became too much. When I obtained my undergraduate degree I began working in a group home. I formed fantastic bonds with my boys but o know ultimately that role was not helping serve foster youth or the mental health struggles of adolescent Black and Brown men. I knew the best place for me would be therapist helping in trauma, crisis, and also life skills. I have returned home to the hotline as an employee and no longer volunteer and while I enjoy crisis, suicide, prevention and trauma ultimately I want to go into private practice. My goal is through the wonders of Telecare. I can help people in rural areas that don’t have access to adequate middle health professionals. While I am not looking for employment now I am always looking for networking, possibilities and opportunities to continue to expand my knowledge, experience and skill set in the therapeutic arena. I am also open to helping with personal development in my spare time.In my free time, I enjoy my animals, my family and my friends they make me the happiest I can be
