My responsibilites include every facet involved in orchestrating and officiating weddings, vow renewals, commitment ceremonies, baby blessings, house cleansings/blessings, funerals and other types of ceremonies. The vast majority of the ceremonies I am involved with are for legal weddings. From initial contact through working out the details to actually performing the ceremony, I am a hands-on individual who believes that everyone deserves a ceremony that both respects and reflects THEIR beliefs and lifestyle. Regardless of whether you have decided upon a complex ceremony with a unique, personalized optional ritual (e.g 6-sand Past/Present/Future ritual or multi-ribbon hand-fasting/Ribbons of Hopes and Wishes etc.) or just something simple yet meaningful and memorable, I will make sure you remember your wedding very fondly! I have officiated well over 400 ceremonies, including more dozens than I can count of same-sex marriages, as I firmly believe that 'love is love'. Although most of my ceremonies are conducted out of my home base of the hot springs town of Truth or Consequences, I frequently am booked to travel by couples who want more than the ordinary wedding. Some of the places in New Mexico where I've officiated weddings outside Sierra County include City of Rocks, White Sands National Monument, Gila National Forest, Sandia Mountains, Dripping Springs Natural Area, various locations in Carlsbad and Ruidoso, and even a mountaintop in the Sacramento Mountains accessible only by 4-wheel drive! I am open to adventurous locations such as rafting down a river or in a hot air balloon and to themed weddings. I have officiated at multiple themes on Halloween, swimsuit weddings lakeside on the 4th of July, Harley, Western and Renaissance-themed weddings; and I welcome (and encourage) involving your children in your wedding ceremony (a Family Sand-blending into a Unity Vase are an excellent way to make them feel a part of the ceremony).
