Throughout my life, curiosity has awakened me to the natural world, our shared human histories, and the power of storytelling. My ability to communicate and collaborate with people across disciplines and backgrounds has fostered inclusion, respect, and equality of shared goals. Communicating and collaborating with artists, directors, and producers was vital in my career in television animation, as a playwright, theater volunteer, and in my academic projects. I have demonstrated the ability to thoroughly research, investigate, synthesize, and communicate complex concepts for various audiences. This has enabled accessible knowledge and understanding that champion inclusion, equity, and diversity. This has allowed for deeper conversations, awareness, and insight in my work in the theater community and in my graduate schoolwork. As an animation timer, my research skills allowed me to problem solve and communicate specific instructions that inspired confidence in creating high quality television shows.I have a unique gift for writing and storytelling, whether creative, historical, or science-based, that engage audiences from multiple backgrounds. As a playwright, my imaginative writing has entertained and educated, while fostering awareness and curiosity of broader social issues. As a graduate student, my investigation and synthesis papers on science, conservation, and evolution combined my writing and research skills to bring broader perspectives of social inequities to academic and general audiences.
