Being an intern for the SOC Council, specifically Community Service, gives me the opportunity to give back to not only my community but to the students of Howard University through collaboration and uplift each other through service.

• As the Community Relations Intern of this evolving organization, I'm responsible for thecommunity outreach efforts with external stakeholders, This position reports to the Chief CommunityRelations Officer and Executive.
• Conduct 50 phone calls a week to build/update the database for the organization’s mission
• Recruit up to 1k attendees for each HBCU Talks event in collaboration with NBA teams
• Volunteer for HBCU Night’s digital events (college fairs, career fairs, panels, fundraisers, tabling)
• Help with tracking analytics/metrics from events
• Assist with social media and live-streaming efforts
