Recently, I have led a small research group that has designed and implemented the following technologies for a mobile language learning application:1. An on-device speech assessment engine that provides pronunciation, fluency and intonation feedback with very low latency. This assessment engine includes forced-alignment, a modified Whisper-ASR recognition system and scoring modules. 2. Automatic content generation pipelines for the following tasks: - Fixed and open-ended dialogue generation using GPT models - Par-human translation to different target languages using LLMs - Image generation with MidjourneyAlthough my main research field has been speech recognition, I have recently also focused on automatic content generation with LLMs. Previously, I developed many projects using the following technologies: speech synthesis for different languages (English, Turkish, and Arabic), speech enhancement in single and multiple-channel scenarios, speaker diarization for both telephone and broadcast data, and OCR for Turkish, Ottoman, and French languages.

We trained DNN acoutic models using Kaldi. We implemented DNN based decoder in Java.We participated in NIST Keyword Search Evaluation (OpenKWS) 2015. We integrated RNN-BLSTM acoustic models to Kaldi system. We trained RNN-BLSTM acoustic models using CURRENNT system. We applied system combination technique and outperformed the best DNN based KWS system results.We developed a keyword search system for Turkish call-center telephone speech data.We developed a Kaldi based Turkish ASR system.

We applied stem-ending based language model inside our recognizer.We developed Optical Character Recognition (OCR) systems for Turkish and Ottoman handwritten data.We developed RNN-BLSTM based OCR system using RNNLIBWe developed a search algorithm based on RNNLIB output label probabilities.
