As the General Manager of BS Maritime & Shipping Services LTD, a sister concern of WMA, job scope includes corresponding with principals and concerned government authorities, and dealing with employees.

The Chief Engineer, as head of the Engine Department, assumes command of all the engineering staff & Manages the operation of the Department.1.Responsible for the safe running, management and maintenance of all engine and machinery related items and Electrical, Air conditioning, Refrigeration, Fire- Fighting & central Fire Detection installations of the Ocean Going Vessel. Quality assurance & monitoring and treatment of various Lubricating Oils, Fuels and Boiler water systems.2.Maintaining an awareness of the correct procedures as outlined in Owners’ Policies and Quality Assurance System within his department in line with various third party & national regulations and industry best practices.3.Ensuring engineers are familiar with operation of machinery under emergency conditions4.Attending weekly routine inspections and work planning meetings5.The Chief Engineer is responsible for The planned maintenance system & following up all Class related matters. Selection of Lubricants for various machineries, monitoring & testing lubrication efficiency and lubricant quality. 6.Ensuring that the ship’s Drawings and Plans and Instruction Manuals for machinery are correct, up to date and correctly filed7.Dry-docking lists for all engine and machinery related items, planning of improvisation and modifications required for the better performance of the plant. Manage & Supervise Repair and service, from third party, for all equipment8.Ensuring that safety regulations regarding Enclosed Spaces and Hot Work, like Electric & Gas welding are adhered to9.Manage, Coordinate and follow up on Department’s resources, work schedules, inventory and all documentation as required by relevant ISO/ISM regulations.10.To prevent pollution, report all environmental incidents, actively support the commitment of environmental policy and facilitate the compliance with the environmental regulatory requirements and promote high standards of environmental awareness throughout the organization

Job scope includes preparing & lecturing of professional study material to students appearing for competency exam & undertaking pre-sea training, Preparing & checking of Exam papers, planning of training structure & organogram and correspondence with various government authorities and managing all human resource related issues.

1. Managing the Budget, procurement, Accounts, Recruitment and business development of ocean going Chemical tankers including environmental safety.2. Correspondence & relationship building with various Ship Owners, Ship yards, Classification Societies, Oil Majors etc. In charge of communication with Major players in the Marine industry like MAN, Wartsila, Alfa Laval, Yanmar etc.3. Managing and supervising technical projects, maintenance of various onboard machinery, mechanical, electrical and automation fault-findings. Leading full service/repair team for various equipment/machines assembling and reconditioning of necessary components. 4. Day to day vessel operation, PMS & safety quality and environment related issues. 5. Prepare repair specs, quotation, and dry docking of the Company Vessels.6. Attend Vetting and Class Surveys such as Annual, Special/Renewal, Intermediate audits & Docking as required for the vessels under the management. Experienced new delivery of two vessels from Korea & Turkey. Have worked with various IACS members as NKK, DNV, Lloyds, ABS and BV for surveys. Have done the complete preparation and docking for number of vessels. As a part of the Company’s Technical team, have been engaged in the preparation of TMSA / ISO audits, revision of Company Manuals with respect to latest regulations & Industry Standard, Following up the fleet Near Miss/Accident-Incident reports, managing risk etc. Experienced in Carrying out ISM internal audit for the vessels & closure of NC & observation, regular technical inspection on board various vessels and prepare the vessel for CDI/SIRE/Port State/Flag/Class inspections. Carrying out safety meeting on board at regular interval and review the vessel & company safety management system. Liaising with various lubricant companies like Mobil, BP, Lubmarine, Total etc.
