Ensuring fellow staff, labour and outside contractors follow PCL's compliance with SH&E rules and regulations. Create / update Job Hazard Analysis', Safe Work Procedures, conduct Site Safety Inspections and present weekly safety meetings.Monitor progress and adjust planning to meet project milestones. Coordinate with other project partners to ensure resources are properly allocated. Ensure that manpower is qualified and sufficient for project completion while being under budget. Verify quality and turnover procedures are followed by our trades personal. Ensure that approved methods are used to meet API, ASME, ABSA regulatory compliance. Guidance to the quality team to confirm proper inspection program is applied to meet the projects quality requirements.Provide mentoring to engineering / coordination support staff with creating solutions to construction problems and submitting requests for information, material sourcing, job planning. Liaison between owner/client and project teams for daily debriefs, project safety meetings, construct-ability planning, turnover completion.Providing guidance to project estimation teams with mechanical installation manpower, equipment and time lines. Also reviewing other project teams bid estimations, for reasonableness.Participating in job opportunity meetings. Give updates on how various teams are doing, with respect to project milestones. Provide insight into other departments when issues are presented.

Oversee for the management of all maintenance, production, shipping/receiving and purchasing activities performed at the facility, and balancing them with the Sales and Quality teams requirements.Improving productivity throughout the facility by critical analysis of the equipment and making changes to increase yields, reduce downtime, improve efficiency and lengthen the mean time between failures.Provided technical and process expertise as part of a plant expansion & improvement review committee. The committee's final decision that I advocated for, was an incremental process yield improvement plan. This plan targeted the recovery of high value oils from low value meal and waste product streams by tightening the process variables and modernization of some of the process equipment.Ensuring all reporting departments staff are adequately trained and perform all tasks with adherence to our SH&E, and FSSC 22000 programs.

Responsible for the personal within the maintenance, purchasing and utility teams. Completion of semi-annual performance evaluations. Adjusting staff levels as needed, including interviews for new hires and dismissal of staff.Planning and executing a multi-million dollar budget for the regular staff, contractors, tools and equipment needed to operate the maintenance department. This lead to ideas to reduce maintenance costs. Therefore we looked at maximizing the equipment availability by using predictive maintenance techniques to establish maintenance and renewal plans. This had a noticeable reduction in the maintenance budget.Organizing, coordinating and implementing planned processing shutdowns. This would involve creating a plan, budget and schedule with the maintenance department supervisors to estimate staff and time requirements for each activity. The details would be communicated to the other operations teams to ensure there were not schedule conflicts or activities being missed. We would then ensure all contracting staff, tools, and equipment were made available as planned.Working with engineering, contractors, and vendors to ensure continual improvement of the process. This would typically consist of the following steps; 1) Submitting and evaluating proposals with operations and engineering teams. 2) Selection of contractors/vendors with the engineering team. 3) Negotiation of payment terms, sometimes with accounting if the project was to be capitalized. 5) Supervision of work for safety, quality and productivity. 6) Controlled testing and evaluation of the improvements. 7) Follow up with plant management on the success of the project.
