Senior Personnel Security Assistant
Current Process incoming phone calls and emails from Security Managers and industry Facility Security Officers regarding adjudication requirements to determine if the appropriate level of initial or reinvestigation requirement matches the position designation level. (Special Sensitive, Critical-Sensitive, Noncritical-Sensitive, High Risk, Moderate Risk, and Low Risk). Perform DISS CATS searches to determine the most recent investigation, issues, closing codes, clearance/access level, and date granted. Respond to various inquiries related to investigative requirements, adjudicative guidelines, adjudication status, fingerprint results, and suitability determinations. Collect, scan, and upload incoming adjudicative documentation into National Security Databases ensuring the background investigation information is accurate in the client security tracking system. Review overdue suspense files and deliver findings to the designated point of contact for appropriate action. Read and analyze e-QIP/security forms before submitting them to adjudication to determine whether the scope of investigation meets specific investigative standards. Determine if additional inquiries are necessary to resolve discrepant, derogative, or contradictory information. Conduct preliminary record checks of the Office of Personnel Management’s Central Verification System (CVS) to determine if there is a current reciprocal investigation that meets position designation requirements
