The system consists of the following applications;- CCCS is a web based application written in C# to provide vendors in Iraq and Afghanistan with a means to register to do business with the Department of Defense. Vendors register with the web site and review solicitations posted by DoD contracting officers and are able to submit proposals and bid on the various solicitations. - ACTT NG is a windows forms based application written in C# to provide DoD contracting officers with a tool for managing the many contracts they are responsible for in Iraq and Afghanistan. The system is built using Microsoft technologies such as .Net, MS SQL Server, IIS and Enterprise Library. The windows forms based client is self-updating allowing the team to manage the application in a centralized manner and has an offline mode to help contracting officers continue to work even when they are not connected to the network. The application was built with the stated goal of increasing the number of host nation vendors involved in the reconstruction process in Iraq and Afghanistan by simplifying the contract solicitation, proposal and award process. The web site functions in both English and Arabic and can potentially support additional languages.
