• Researched and developed a completely new production process for manufacturing wood railings, incorporating:o Digital data collectiono Solid Works designingo Mastercam programming o 5-axis CNC Router machining (BIESSE Arrow)• Developed and manufactured 62 vacuum and/or pneumatic holding fixtures.• Maintained and presented the SR&ED documentation for 2005 - 2009 (98% return rate). • Designed and supervised the manufacturing of 75 CNC carbide insert tools.• Developed and assisted in manufacturing of five hydraulic fixtures for steel bar bending.• Designed and programmed over 100 types of wood pickets and posts for a high-speed CNC Lathe and Sander (INTOREX).• Designed a completely new second production process for manufacturing railings, using an automated cell for a 6-axis Robot (FANUC).• In its final stage, the new production process achieved a production output increase of 215%.

• Developed and designed a new generation of automated robotic cell fixtures, incorporating six different workstations into one (guillotine, 3-axis CNC machining, spin welder, hot plate welder, and assembly station and leak tester). This cell was used to run a multitude of part programs, with an average changeover of 15 minutes between programs. The newly designed cell fixture increased sales by 218%, reduced labour from 5 operators to 1, and generated cost reductions of 37%.• Designed and implemented on-going process improvements to increase production efficiency and product quality:o Designed, tested, manufactured and implemented a Debris Evacuation System for the 5-axis CNC’s Nests and machining fixtures. The system evacuated 99.75 % of the debris produced.o Programmed six CNC machines – 5-axis (THERMWOOD), using Mastercam, in order to decrease the cycle time. Average cycle time decreased by 54% (from 71 to 32 sec/piece).o Reduced the cleaning and maintenance time of every CNC machine from 35 min / shift, to 7 min / 6 shifts, increasing OA from 92.2% to 99.7%o Designed various fixtures, CNC nests, S/Carbide cutters and assisted in manufacturing them.o All the improvements increased sales by $3.7 million/year.• Designed and manufactured new Poke-Yoke assembly fixtures for production and quality checking of automotive parts.• Carried out troubleshooting processes and problem analysis in conjunction with any issues of quality or production efficiency using RCA, SPC and PFMEA system. • Continuous Improvement Champion FY 2005 and 2006.• Programs I have contributed to include J-Car, GMT 360, GMX 380, GMT 800/900, GMT 191, GMX 245, C-Segment, Dew 98, P221, U222/228, P356, and Nissan XX.
