Coaching Corps is a national nonprofit that provides volunteer coach recruitment, professional development for coaches through training, and mentorship support for active coaches, all free of charge to youth sports programs impacting under-resourced communities.Leading organization through strategic restructuring to create an efficient, cost-effective series of services for national scale, while simultaneously leading staff through implementation of adjacent services to respond to under-resourced community needs during COVID-19 pandemic. • Leading Program, Technology, and Communication departments through shifts to increase efficiency for cost-effective national growth. • Supervising integration of diversity, equity, and inclusion into internal and external processes and operations. • Supervising organizational shift during COVID-19 pandemic to support over 150 under-resourced community sites through referral of over 800 essential service volunteers and provided resources for staff to support youth exposed to trauma.

Lead organization’s external relationship cultivation and management of after-school program partners, operational staff leadership and management, and training leadership across six regions nationally.• Restructured Program department to increase efficiency and production. Hired, trained and led a team of staff and interns to recruit, train, and support thousands of coaches annually across the country, spanning 5 states and over 60 cities, increasing national impact by 11% across 2 years.• Cultivated, secured and managed leadership relationships with national nonprofits and professional sports teams, including After-School All-Stars, the Boys and Girls Club, USTA, and LAFC.• Directly supported national and regional individual and institutional fundraising efforts for $6M in annual revenue.• Led trainings nationally and regionally to instruct organizations on best practices for volunteer management, sports-based youth development, and program structure creation. Designed, executed, and evaluated trainings to be used for start-up programs, multi-city-based organizations, and conference presentations.

Santa Cruz, Ca

The Marine Mammal Physiology Project began in 1994 at the University of California Santa Cruz’ Long Marine Laboratory, under the direction of Dr. Terrie Williams, an exercise physiologist and professor at UCSC. Working with animals that are trained to voluntarily cooperate in the data collection process, the project investigates the energetics, physiological, and biomechanical parameters of numerous marine mammals. In addition to all of the Marine Mammal Physiology Project’s many research endeavors, it also holds a pivotal role in developing the next generation of global conservationists and cutting edge animal trainers. The project conducts several public outreach programs throughout the year designed to educate the general public about all the work being completed and how they can apply the knowledge we are gaining to wild populations.
