I am an experienced industry professional that focuses on synthetic and analytical chemistry. I currently work as a silica chemist performing bonding and coating of silica for use in chromatography techniques. I also have experience in the biophysics space looking at higher order structure of biologics using HPLC, SV-AUC, and CD.I am a graduate of California State University, Northridge with a Master's of Science in Chemistry. I performed research under Dr Eric Kelson in the Chemistry & Biochemistry department where I researched polypyridine-bridged ruthenium dimers as homogenous inner-sphere transfer hydrogenation catalysts, performed by a mixture of organic and inorganic synthetic methods. I also researched anti-tumor and stereoselective properties of these polypyridine-based complexes via several analytical methods such as UV-Vis and fluorometry. Beyond my time spent in research, I also worked as a graduate teaching associate teaching undergraduate laboratory classes in general, organic, and inorganic chemistry. Further, I worked as a student assistant in the chemistry stockroom of the same department preparing the experiments for the teaching laboratories, to which I owe most of my general laboratory skills.Competencies: organic synthesis, inorganic synthesis, HPLC, GC, GC-MS, UV-Vis, extensive teaching experience.
