As Project Analyst (climate analyst) I will be contributing to the development and implementation of the CPD Outcome and specifically strengthening capacities for climate change planning in national development; supporting access to climate financing and advancing the NDCs and Low Emissions Development Strategies; providing technical advice to the advancement of policy and legislation that enables gender responsive and transformative solutions for climate change and disaster risk management; capacity building of institutions and communities to mitigate and adapt to climate change and disaster risk. Furthermore, I will be responsible to collaborate with the national government and the EUROCLIMA UNDP Project Management Unit (PMU) and, as such, will have the responsibility for the development and implementation of project activities in Belize, ensuring the highest level of coordination with project stakeholders at national and regional level and in full alignment with UNDP rules and regulations.

Served as the Local Expert and National Coordinator for the consultancy that completed the evaluation of the implementation of the Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM) Plan (2016-2020). The ICZM Plan, which was prepared by the Coastal Zone Management Authority and Institute (CZMAI) is a national plan document that provides guidance for the sustainable use and management of Belize coastal zone. Its implementation requires the coordination and execution from several agencies and coastal stakeholders. This consultancy will provide an evaluation report on the Plan’s implementation and a case study which will later inform the revision of the Plan. My responsibilities included supporting stakeholder mapping, reviewing and preparing briefs about implementing agencies (including their legislation and policy/plan documents), consultation meeting support, and assisting in the preparation of output documents(Inception Report, Evaluation Report, and Case Study).

Provided editorial services for a Consultancy to carried out an in-depth analysis of an improvement plan implemented on 10 model livestock farms aimed at improving livestock productivity and climate resilience in Belize. Also included was the graphical layout of the reports.
