Chad is the Natural Resources Program Director in SWCA’s Broomfield, Colorado office with over twenty years of experience in natural resources management. His responsibilities at SWCA include oversight for a group of project management and technical staff focused on helping their clients navigate permitting and compliance with the Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, and NEPA. His work experience includes performing duties as a project manager for environmental consulting firms and government agencies. He specializes in threatened and endangered species surveying, habitat assessments, and technical analyses. He also has experience in stream restoration, fisheries, land surveying, wetland delineation, wetland permitting and mitigation. He has helped design regional survey protocols and has performed wildlife studies for numerous avian, mammal, and aquatic species in Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, New Mexico, Kansas, Nebraska, Georgia, Maine, Nebraska, and Missouri. He has specific experience in stocking, trapping, tagging, sampling, spawning, and transfer of sensitive aquatic species. He is also experienced in reporting and coordinating with federal regulatory agencies such as the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Bureau of Land Management, U.S. Forest Service, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He specializes in compliance and permitting experience with clients in the energy industry (e.g., renewables, natural and liquid gas transmission, power plants, and electric transmission).
