Began my semiconductor journey at Motorola SMO (Phx, AZ) in 1997 as a Pre-Med undergrad. After working in the Semiconductor industry, decided to commit to it as a career. After SMO shut down in 1998, transferred to CS-1 (Tempe, AZ), a GaAs fab. Worked as a Process Technician until graduation from ASU in 2002. From 2002 - 2004 worked as a back-end cleans/wet etch and gold plating engineer. In 2004, was able to take advantage of a Freescale voluntary severance plan (VSP) and took a job at International Rectifier Epi Services. After 2 years as the primary Process Control Engineer, moved to Metrology and R&D Manager. A year later, took the job of Engineering Manager. After 3 years in the Engineering Manager position, took on additional responsibility as the Director of Engineering and Manufacturing. After the purchase of IR by Infineon, was assigned title of Director of Manufacturing. After 2 years in that role, I then had the opportunity to expand my experience and take over the role of Manager of Strategic Planning (OPC). After a couple of years in that role, I was invited to join the exciting GaN epitaxy group, returning to my roots as an engineer. Unfoturnately, the GaN epitaxy program was ended in Mesa, AZ in March of 2022. I then was promoted to Director of Quality for the Mesa site.
