Programming Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for automated mining systems, I executed Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify and resolve pitfalls in processes, optimizing operational efficiency. Adhering to the corporate safety management program, I carried out risk assessments and mitigated any risks. Collaborating multi-functionally, I realized company objectives and attended sprint planning and scrum meetings with colleagues. Complying with safety and quality guidelines and requirements, I maintained functional safety documentation and executed risk analysis on new machine functions and modifications. I enabled full testing of equipment prior to leaving manufacturing division, by designing and implementing a machine testing network with GPS, that mimicked operational drilling pad in mine.

Spearheading the overhaul of IT infrastructure, I headed a software development project that supported ticketing system for accommodation. I created a Bill of Materials for networking equipment and a 400-acre WiFi network then coordinated the installation and network setup phases. I devised a ticketing system for guests that featured department notifications, logged maintenance activities and pinpointed trends that highlighted issues, for instance, common routine maintenance tasks that identified problems with property. Facilitating remote working for guests by optimizing WiFi infrastructure, I realized $500,000 in cost savings within three years, by streamlining work processes and software upgrades.

I established a company that provided project-based development of automated assembly lines plus HMI and PLC programming for food, printing, paper manufacturing and automobile sectored clients. Modifying Allen Bradley ControlLogix, EthernetIP, GE CIMPLICITY, GuardLogix, Omron, PanelView, Profinet and Siemens components, I ascertained client requirements then produced bespoke control products. Leveraging EthernetIO, Data Highway, MySQL, SQL OPC, Profibus and Profinet protocols, I utilized a variety of solutions and tools, including Allen Bradley/Rockwell automation, Micropoise and Kokusai Balance and Audit automation, C++, Cognex, SQL and Access Database Management and DBA to DBA, Fault, GE Cimplicity HMI, Java, Lenoi Vision System, .NET, Thin Client, SharePoint, Siemens, Virtual Server, Visio, Visual Basic (VBA) and Visual. Project managing upgrades and new installations for Tire and Wheel functions, I oversaw the entire lifecycle of controls and systems engineering plus provided manufacturing support. I won several multi-million-dollar contracts with FCA, Nissan and Ford, to create custom actuators, control linkages, variable frequency drives (VFDs) and servos. I upgraded the Tire and Wheel division at Nissan Motor Company, by migrating PLC5 over to ControlLogix and PanelView HMI to GE CIMPLICITY and enhanced the Tire and Wheel plus Fluid Fill Final Assembly functions at FCA Jeep and Sterling plants by migrating PLC5 over to ControlLogix and Factory Talk Panel View. Optimizing Fluid Fill assembly lines for Ford Motor Company in Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, and Ohio, I also transformed a carton manufacturing organization by moving mechanical operations over to PLC with automation, improved Controls and wiring for cardboard box manufacturer in Memphis.
