Microsoft Cloud Infrastructure and Operations (MCIO) is the engine that powers Microsoft’s cloud services. The team is responsible for designing, building and operating our unified global datacenters; managing the demand planning and capacity utilization of our unified infrastructure; and all the operations needed to run the physical infrastructure (including supply chain, hardware, power, security, and workflow teams). We focus on smart growth with an emphasis on automation, data driven engineering, cost-effectiveness and environmental sustainability. We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft’s over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, Skype, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform. Our infrastructure is comprised of a large global portfolio of more than 100 datacenters and 1 million servers. Our portfolio is built and managed by a team of subject matter experts working 24x7x365 to support services for more than 1 billion customers and 20 million businesses in over 90 countries worldwide. Within MCIO, Forecasting and Capacity Supply Chain (FACS) is responsible for customer demand forecasting, capacity planning and management, supply chain planning and execution, capacity provisioning, and decommissioning of datacenters worldwide. Provide expertise on resource management and allocation, risk mitigation, communications, project plans, project deliverables, actions/issue resolution, scheduling, policies and procedures, project documentation standards, quality assurance, impact analysis, post project assessment, executive presentations, organizational structure, contract requirements, and best practices.Highlighted Projects:• Coach, mentor, and lead a remote team and oversee the seamless integration of newly acquired companies into the Dell network systems. • Project managed the ground up construction of a 5,000 sq. ft datacenter in Slough, UK. Oversaw all aspects of the build including Internet circuits, wiring, servers, and racks. • Led the deployment a 43,000 sq. ft tier III data center in Quincy, Seattle. Leveraged sustainable resources that enabled 7600 hours of free cooling using advanced Heat Wheel technology. • Integrated technology OCS (Optimized Containment System) to increase efficiency and enable multicarrier connectivity and diversity for a data center deployment in Toronto, Canada.

Appointed key facilitator for Dell Internal Data Center program. Responsible for infrastructure, architecture, and management of Dell Data Centers. Served as lead technical project manager for data center, internal sales offices, factories, and distribution centers for Dell Americas, Asia, Brazil, and Europe. Highlighted Projects: • Consolidated facilities in Nashville and Toronto; closed Twin Falls, PS1, and WS1 sites. • Managed project to densify Dell internal data center environments in Austin, TX; Limerick, Ireland; Penang, Malaysia; Cyberjaya, Malaysia; and Round Rock, TX. • Worked closely with data center engineers and facilities group to spearhead global delivery of Dell “Green” initiatives. • Managed all aspects of IT infrastructure project for successful start-ups of new Dell factories in North Carolina, Brazil, and Poland. Deployed 100% of infrastructure on time and within budget. - Oversaw purchasing of all IT hardware required for the manufacturing floor - Supervised network and telecom installation (~ 500 devices) - Successfully delivered data center to Dell Tier Standards - Trained onsite teams of technicians (15+ employees) to provide technical support - Accurately assessed risks to project and communicated effectively with offsite program manager to ensure successful completion of project • Recognized with the highest award given by Dell IT Operations Vice President for significantly contributing to Dell’s achieving corporate goals as result of successful project delivery.

• Redesigned factory print process with a $92K savings and implemented the process globally.• Created a global desktop refresh program. Served as IT Project leader for 740 systems “Tech Refresh.” • Managed a $1.5 MM budget; coordinated with business partners, application, and server teams to ensure no downtime. • Served as IT lead for a new packaging facility located in West Chester, Ohio. Successfully implemented three business phases. • Led IT operation project analyzing workstation requirements for merge center expansion project. Developed requirement documents, spreadsheets, and systems specs, and conducted several on-going meetings to ensure success of IT installation.
