Sr. Director, Applications And Integrations
Director, Applications And Integrations
Manager, It Store Systems
In this role, I was responsible for the development and maintenance of key applications utilized in the both the Jenny Craig and Curves centers and in the corporate office. I lead a team of .Net developers, a team of Siebel developers, and functioned as the primary lead developer and architect for the .Net team. This role also involved the administration of TFS across multiple Team collections used internationally. I played a primary role in migrating Curves from SQL 2005 to SQL 2012. I also lead my teams to win in 3 out of 4 quarters per year (2014 and 2015) in the IT Department Spartan Award program (either individual or team award) by inspiring them to aim high and changing the perception of the team within the department. Major projects include EFT and SEPA (banking) transactions for multiple countries, Credit Card transactions though Cybersource and Paymentech, automation of custom integrations with Wellness Insurance companies across both brands, online appointment scheduling, Web and WCF Services, and enhancements to the Club Management software suites used by each brand.
Manager Of Application Development
In this role, I was responsible for the development and maintenance of key applications utilized in the Curves centers and in the corporate office. I functioned as the development lead and architect for my team of .Net developers and gained significant leadership skills. I oversaw and managed the following areas in this position: Database Administrators, .Net Developers, and QA. I was a key player in data center moves and the continued expansion of Curves in-house club management software. Major projects include a franchisee community website, club management software, franchise and member ecommerce sites, integration with Insurance partners as part of the wellness reimbursement initiative, and Credit Card and EFT implementation.
Application Architect
In this role, I was responsible for being the lead developer and architecting any new solutions/implementations across all in-house .Net applications. This included all enhancements/features added to Curves Club management software. A primary focus was to ensure that the products delivered were in line with the business requirements and the overall IT strategy as well as to provide support and guidance to developers to make sure they are adhering to the overall architecture and standards.
Application Developer
In this role, I was responsible for development of key parts of in-house .Net applications and functioned as a lead developer on many projects.
Manager It (Contract)
In this role, I was responsible for application development, server setup and management, Database administration, source control (SourceSafe, and then a conversion to TFS), routers, firewalls, printers, hardware, computer prep and deployment, company-wide antivirus, and managing/mentoring other developers . In my years with this company I was able to take them from VB inside of an access database to VB6 and SQL 2005 and then ultimately to Visual Studio 2010 and SQL Server 2012. I was responsible for the architecture and development of several applications that analyzed millions of rows of data and found which records would bring money to the company.
Partner/Developer
This was a partnership between myself and a DPS Narcotics agent in which we wrote a software application that was responsible for the Affidavit, Search and Arrest Warrants, suspect profiles, ops plan, evidence logging, location profile, and many other documents needed for Narcotic and Special Crimes operations. This software is still in use by McLennan County DPS, and was used by several local enforcement agencies in multiple counties, including SWAT.
Developer
I was hired to write Perl and PHP scripts to help automate the day to day operations of the dial-up internet company. As revenue declined due to high-speed internet becoming more available, the company went into developing dating websites. This consisted of a single codebase that could run multiple sites based on the configuration of the site. When that didn’t pan out, the company went into templated e-commerce sites (templates with configurations to change images, and basic settings). After that, the company went into online payroll and time keeping. For all of these projects, I was the lead developer (often the only developer) and was responsible for researching and architecting the solutions. I was among the last employees when this company went bankrupt in 2005.
