Responsible for the safe, efficient, and profitable operation of all pipe coating products and services at the Camrose 39th and 54th Street plant. Oversees a team of Production Supervisors that are directly responsible for managing all production activities.1. Supervise and assign work to production personnel.2. Plans and coordinates the work of supervisors.3. Handle employee problems such as motivating, disciplining.4. Determine manpower requirements and schedule manpower.5. Train/develop employees and supervisors in the safe/efficient performance of their job duties through orientation and proper job instruction. To ensure HSE training is provided to supervisory personnel. Ensure supervisors are competent and capable of managing HSE matters within their operational area of responsibility.6. Work with the Quality Control department.7. Implement, maintain and enforce the HSE system Meet the HSE objectives and targets set out in attaining the goals of the EHS system.Communicate changes to HSE systems and ensure associated practices/procedures are adhered to and communicated to all relevant levels.Recommend improvements in HSE practices/procedures.To comply with all relevant legal/other requirements.Co-operate/participate in joint HSE committees.8. Coordinates maintenance repairs with maintenance personnel with minimum downtimes9. Ensures raw materials and supplies are available for continuous production.10. Close contact with the Human Resources department in order to assure compliance with the Collective Agreement. Assist with negotiations of collective agreements with our unions. 11. Prepares daily and monthly reports. Maintains harmonious relationships with production, yard, maintenance, quality control, and outside inspection personnel.12. Assist in the preparation and submission of standards, capital, manpower for the business plan, and strategic plan.13. Recruitment on new employees through the screening and interviewing process.
