  With over 30 years of industry experience, I currently serve as Orion Construction’s Chief Estimator for Heavy Civil, Water, and Water Infrastructure. Estimates range from hard bid style projects to multiphase design-build projects in both the municipal and federal sectors. I have been directly involved in all facets of the largest procurements the company has undertaken in the last 5 years within San Diego County. Responsible for overseeing the tasks necessary for all utility projects to provide an accurate and timely cost estimate, primarily in the Design-Build market. I ensure a seamless transition from pre-construction estimates based on early conceptual plans to the guaranteed maximum proposal (GMP) based on the final approved documents. Part of my role is building strong personal relationships with Orion’s Senior Executive Team as well as other industry professionals. As the Chief Estimator, I have direct knowledge of company resources, cost structures, and how to apply these metrics for complete project success. Ensuring that quality materials, subcontractors, and resources are gained to maximize overall efficiencies and cost control is the main focus of my daily role.
