Serve as Patrol Shift Supervisor over up to 8 Patrolmen. Report to Shift Lieutenant (Watch Commander). Responsibilities include conducting daily Line-up meetings and Patrol assignments, Supervising Patrolmen and making sure daily Patrol functions are completed, Supervising Emergency situations (Pursuits, etc.), Assisting in answering calls for service, Handling phone calls and complaints, Conducting Inspections of Officers and Equipment, Maintaining shift files and attendance book (Scheduling Vacations, Keeping track of sick occasions, etc.), Reviewing and approving all submitted reports, Compile monthly Shift Stats for Pro-met, Making sure any special assignments/requests by higher ranking Officers are carried out. The duties of Shift Supervisor are generally shared with a fellow Sergeant (If shift is full it consists of: one Lieutenant, two Sergeants, and eight Patrolmen).
