I directly supervised and coordinated all activities in the warehouse / shipping department to maximize productivity on assigned shifts and areas. Supervised all phases of shipping and/or warehouse operations including shipping schedules, loading operations and dairy product handling. Maintained inventory and product loss control, coordinates timely and accurate shipping and receiving, and ensures safety/operational guidelines are met. Ensured proper procedures are in place and being followed for production efficiency, quality of product, employee safety, and state and federal guidelines. . Analyzed and resolved work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems. Maintained time and shipping records as required. Prepared reports for management review. Ensures the cooler work area is clean and organized. Provided supervision of assigned employees in scheduling and daily activities, ensuring effective selection, retention, feedback, disciplinary action and performance management. Trained and instructed employees in regard to work performed in shipping and warehouse. Oversees instruction, implementation and enforcement of policies as they relate to employees. Performs other duties as assigned. I started in 1996 on the construction crew with entry-level jobs. By 1998 I was promoted to lead man where I provided instructions and built specific areas of each project so they were complete and ready for installation. In 2000 I was promoted to crew foreman where I met with customers, laid out buildings with customers to obtain approval before construction began, establish grade heights and completed all paperwork necessary.In 2002 through 2005 I was in sales. I received training on how to price out all the options customers were interested in, completed training for CAD drawings and worked with customers to complete purchase orders. Conducted several follow-up meetings and job site visits to keep the customer informed.
