I was hired on as a Professional-Software Engineer but my title then changed to Flex Force Engineer III. Since Flex Force Engineer III is a now-defunct internal AT&T title, I have left this as Professional-Software Engineer.As a member of Flex Force, I was deployable to internal clients of the group based upon my skill profile. Due to my prior experience with test frameworks, I was given the role Test Architect.As a Test Architect, I helped teams with all elements of software quality. I assisted coaching in TDD (Test Driven Development) practices, helped set up DevOps automated testing pipelines with testing and quality gates, and assisted with closing quality gaps.I also directly wrote software for advanced warning and logging systems and wrote an automation suite for a vendor product in the CCPA group.

At the request of leadership I became RPA certified and built automation using Automation Anywhere and Python/Selenium for integrating attendance systems.For my next project, I extended the scope of this automation in order to support a workload increased by 5 times. I transitioned it from an Automation Anywhere deployment on a remote PC to locally ran automation (named "Augie" due to it being an augmentation tool). This was done by creating a Python based REST micoservice that houses the Selenium based automation. This microservice was controlled via an Excel Addin I created to give the end user the ability to control the automation directly within Excel without needing to pivot applications.I built 2 additional automation tasks into Augie before handing it off when moving to my next role.These automation efforts along with the previous pseudo-API mentioned in the Sr Specialist-Applications Developer section ultimately resulted in substantial cost avoidance, projected at over half of a million in the 2018-2019 year.In addition, I served as the automation technical contact for our organization and assisted upskilling other members of management via a PODs program I spearheaded. I then went on to create a framework through collaborating with every stakeholder up to the SVP level. This framework enabled faster deployment of automation while substantially reducing risk to the company by getting existing and new automation into a source code repository as well as enabling peer review of automation.

In this role I was tasked with creating automation solutions to reduce manual labor. The solutions I came up with closely model system integrations but were much cheaper and required no code changes in the target systems.The first project I created a "pseudo-API" by reverse engineering website front ends and sending requests directly to the back end of the target web server. I then automated this API using feeds from multiple databases to create a complete end to end automation requiring no manual labor.

My primary areas of work right now are Python, SQL (MariaDB and Oracle), HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Visual Basic for Applications, and Microsoft SharePoint.I am responsible for the technical design and implementation of automation software which will empower employees to begin working quickly after being hired.

As a member of the U-Verse Data Team, I was responsible for assisting with server administration of a Linux Ubuntu server, writing SQL queries, and automated jobs which distributed reports on a nightly, weekly, and monthly basis.I wrote software (Python) for securely storing and updating user SQL passwords. This prevented the team from having credentials stored within the jobs and avoided the need to re-create jobs when password updates occurred.I also wrote software for automating the records update of over 1500 agents. This saved the company 25 hours of work, and the software became reusable later.Finally, I was responsible for being the site collection administrator for Microsoft SharePoint sites, and created SharePoint forms using SharePoint Designer, Workflows, and JavaScript.

I handled customer service request escalations. After 1 year of service, I was placed as the lead of a special project, responsible for building the report and presenting the team's findings to our engineering team.Upon completion of the project, I was recognized for my reporting ability and my leadership abilities. This resulted in me being placed on the U-Verse Data Analytics Team.

After 1 year as a technical support rep, I was trained to handle business accounts and became a Process Lead. As a process lead, I wrote software for automating reporting, software to email agents informing them they had received a customer survey, and wrote a custom tracking tool to give management a real time view of team performance. The custom tool I built became used across the entire DSL organization and is still in use today.
