Researcher and government contractor in strategic environmental/energy risk and scanning assessments, including global environmental change processes and regional security impacts. As a principal consultant with GlobalINT, we provided strategic planning, net assessment and risk scenarios to governments, militaries and commercial interests. The risk assessments we have designed provided information on critical vulnerabilities and potential security risks, and where crucial investments should be made. With the US military (through USAF's Project Minerva), we helped translate scientific data into strategic and operational risks for Pacific and European/Arctic commands, while for the US Dept of Energy led a team on assessing abrupt climate impacts on energy and national security.
