As Director of Strategy and Proposals, Chad bore responsibility for expanding APTIM's footprint of new and established clients. Notable efforts in this role included the facilitation of multi-year contract renewals under three anchor clients, developing and launching APTIM's initial demand response portfolio, and supporting other bids extending our organizational reach into new cleantech offerings (heat pumps, EVSE, sustainability services, etc.). Chad nurtured efforts to source work to DBE subcontractors while establishing an operational framework to streamline the pursuit of new business opportunities, including the use of data visualization, refreshed marketing collateral, a proposal playbook, and the adoption of technology-based project management tools.

As the Portfolio Director for Focus on Energy, Chad oversaw a broad portfolio of 15 energy efficiency and renewable energy programs spanning both Commercial & Industrial, and Residential sectors. Duties associated with this role included contract development and negotiation, program budgeting and energy savings target-setting, managing client relationships, strategic and tactical planning, and representing Focus on Energy to external stakeholders. Chad managed a four-year planning, budgeting, and contracting process which set Focus on Energy on a path to achieve increased energy savings over the 2015 - 2018 program cycle, with approximately $370 million in associated ratepayer incentives and implementation work to support these goals.

As Project Manager with Resource Solutions Group, Chad managed residential prescriptive incentives on behalf of Chicagoland natural gas utility Nicor Gas, as well as a joint electric-gas incentives offering between Nicor Gas and Commonwealth Edison (ComEd). His duties included oversight over program financials, rebate processing, trade ally management, and marketing efforts. Chad also was involved in the development and analysis of on-bill financing efforts in Illinois. Additional duties during his tenure at RSG included co-chairing a panel at the 2012 ACEEE Summer Study, and participation in CLEAResult's Innovation Team.

As Program Manager with the Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance, Chad was responsible for administering a portfolio of programs that focused on affordable home lighting, educating students on efficiency, and lowering energy costs for low-income families. He also served on several workgroups charged with plotting the future of advanced lighting technologies.
