Provided leadership to a staff team of 50 located throughout 13 programs around Calgary. Specifically, was responsible for the development of 12 managers within the company through leadership training and mentorship. Lead professional development seminars for individual program teams as well as with entire staff team of 50. Conducted mediation and inter-disciplinary meetings with parents, principals, and community supports. Coordinated external training and staff development opportunities. Responsible for the recruitment, interviewing and hiring of staff team. Conducted employee evaluations, staff mediation, training and disciplinary meetings with staff as required.

Provided leadership and vision for program sites. Learned and maintained high level of procedural and employment expectations within Early Childhood Education centres in accordance with Alberta Licensing and Alberta Accreditation bodies. Liaised with CBE and CCSD employees and leasing bodies. Created developmentally appropriate, community-based program curriculum and trained staff on implementation of curriculum. Facilitated parent meetings in regards to children’s developmental and behavioural challenges. Provided day-to-day support for individual site managers.

Provided leadership and supervision to staff. Educated and maintained a high level of procedural and employment expectations to the staff team. Maintained a high level of professionalism in regards to client confidentiality and role modeled on-going appropriate practice within the Human Services field. Assisted Executive Director and Program Director in decision-making regarding procedural conduct. Ensured that all shift duties were carried out in a timely and efficient matter. Made discretionary decisions and provided support to staff team during shifts, and while on-call in regards to client issues that arose. Conducted employee evaluations, staff mediation, training and disciplinary meetings with staff as required. Oversaw operational activities and worked in collaboration with other departments to ensure seamless support of clients. Ensured shift reports and statistical data were completed and distributed to appropriate parties on a regular basis. Provided shift coverage when necessary. Created staff schedules for up to 20 staff for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week shift coverage.

Calgary, Canada Area

Planned and organized weekly activities for under-privileged families. Worked with a budget and co-coordinated with community resources to send families to events and activities around Calgary and area every weekend and school break. Coordinated camp trips for kids and families to attend private camps during summer.

Planned and ran a daily education program for up to 12 kindergarten students for 4 hours daily. Interacted and planned activities for up to 50 elementary school aged students before and after regular school hours, keeping the students engaged and entertained until their parents picked them up. Interacted with parents, staff and children on a daily basis.

Sundre, Alberta

Planned and developed the camp program and pre-camp training program in consultation with the Executive Director. Facilitated hiring, training and supervision of up to 60 staff and volunteers. Coordinated all program activities and organized leadership for each activity. Evaluated the effectiveness of the activity program and the program staff. Managed the maintenance and operation of the Zip Line program. This included staff management, training and orientation. Maintained positive relationships with groups using facilities and the communities in close proximity to the camp. Participated in self-development and training courses and seminars. Planned and executed retreats for small groups. This included food preparation and program development. Assumed all other duties and assignments deemed appropriate by the Executive Director.
