Masters Dissertation:Towards a Robust Double-Layer Private Blockchain to Preserve Data-IntegrityAbstract:Data is an important element of the cyber world, to secure integrity and trust of data. Secured environments should be created to sustain the records of this data. The proposed double layer private Blockchain architecture is designed to secure data integrity and preserve the trust of system users. To evaluate this technique, I conducted experiments on a prototype that uses a Blockchain and a database. To check how a private Blockchain could validate the integrity of data with the use of another storage method such as a local database. Consequently the goal of the proposed architecture is to achieve confidentiality, integrity, availability, accessibility, auditability, verification, validation by using the double layer private Blockchain. Through the evaluation of the prototype, we demonstrate that the proposed architecture was able to detect tampering in a private Blockchain. Benchmarks was also performed on the prototype and has demonstrated minimal CPU and memory usage.
