I am a second year student studying Biomedical Science at Lancaster University with a keen interest in the areas of genetics, haematology and immunology. I enjoy working in the laboratory and am hoping to gain more experience in this area with a NHS placement to complete my IBMS portfolio.I have gained experience in part time retail and customer service work which I believe has aided the development of my self confidence and independence, along with my teamwork skills, all of which I believe will aid me when I am able to enter into my desired area of laboratory work.I am a hard worker who has achieved the equivalent of a First in my initial year of university, and I am aiming to achieve this grade in my second year too.
