As a Career Consultant, I am responsible for facilitating career transitions for individuals served by partner agencies such as Workforce Development Boards, dislocated workers, local Veterans agencies, Military transition offices, and other government funded agencies.

In my previous role, at University of the Rockies; a graduate school of professional psychology, education and social science, I provided career development guidance to current students and alumni as a primary service. I also connected with departments within University of the Rockies and industry professionals in the community. Working with students and alum 1-on-1, I encouraged the talents they already possessed. Elevating their current perspective from “students” to professionals. I helped them connect their education with their experiences to show them how they can influence their future. Together, we made a development plan that will give them skills they can continue to build from in their career lifeline. Ultimately, my goal was to synthesize the learning outcomes of the degree programs with student’s abilities and motivation to help develop professionals who have a positive impact on the economic vitality of our community and the reputation of University of the Rockies.

Assisted students through the admissions process by conducting interviews and reviewing school acceptance criterion. Active participation in team meetings and events, adherence to admissions policies, procedures and DOE regulations. Developed and implemented an employee mentorship program as an activity for Interim management training program specific to The Art Institute of Colorado - Creating Tomorrows Leaders (CTL).

Successfully completed Series 6 licensure, life, accident and health insurance exams for the state of Colorado. Marketed and sold products, including life insurance, disability income insurance, long-term care insurance, annuities, and investments. Demonstrated outstanding client service and support by assisting current clients in achieving their changing financial objectives.

Worked with team members to strategize opportunities and impact healthcare professionals prescribing habits. Implemented training and sales presentations to healthcare professionals to build relationships and business partnerships. Gained access for Pfizer in nursing homes throughout the Denver Metro Area. Presented multiple presentations to Regional and District Managers about the value of Pfizer and lessons learned from working as an intern
