Superintended multiple offline centres, set up operational processes and managed their P&L

Turtlemint is one of the fastest growing (valued at ~$950M) insurance distribution companies in India. With insurance penetration levels substantially lower in India as compared to the global standards, Turtlemint is trying to take insurance to the masses by demystifying insurance products for common people. It works with all major insurers in India and leverages tech to get the job done.At Turtlemint, I had been a part of the business strategy team wherein I led the sales initiatives for all the insurance business verticals. As a part of this role, I solely took decisions on how to best utilize an annualized budget of ~20 Cr on sales initiatives to meet business expectations. This role presented a good mix of Analytics, Stakeholder Management, Team Management and Leadership. In terms of analytical tools, I actively used MS Excel, Tableau and basic SQL. The role also challenged me to take some really impactful business decisions early on in my career. Apart from this, I had been involved in some strategic projects with top brass of the company. I also had a few major problem statements with end-to-end ownership, which entailed understanding the problem, analyzing data, strategizing and coordinating across functions for implementing solutions.

In this project, I analyzed different segments in the real estate industry, vis-a-vis buy-sale, rental, and co-living segments. The role entailed a detailed study of major companies in these segments to know their product features and pricing, their strengths and weakness, coverage, market perception, etc. I performed these tasks en route to designing product for Digiowner.

Herein, I was primarily responsible for corporate relations and engagement with different colleges throughout the state. I also enjoyed due freedom in drafting online and offline promotional strategies for the institute. My professional efforts coincided with my social inclination. I had a chance to think about the sorry state of girls' higher education in the state and incentivize parents for the higher education of girls. This worked really well and during my tenure itself, I could improve the gender ratio of the class to a great extent. My tenure saw more than 40% jump in girls' turnout. The overall rural turnout was also one of my top achievements there.
