As a Software QA Analyst, it is my responsibility to write and execute test cases for our company's software. Strong attention to detail is key with this position as it requires catching and reporting software bugs. These defects can range on a scale from large and easily noticeable to more discrete but still damaging to the user experience. Documentation is also a major part of the role as everything must be written in a neat, organized manner so the test cases can be reproduced. Lastly, communication with other team members and development is crucial. Reporting bugs is just as important as finding them.

I worked in the Biorepository laboratory at OMRF. The main role was processing samples that arrived at our facility. Diligence and efficiency are crucial when processing to ensure that samples are prepared quickly and with the highest quality. Other tasks included keeping the lab equipment sanitary, inputting data into Excel and our online database - ADIDs, and preparing sample pulls for researchers. Sample pulls are a key part of the role because they allow us to deliver the samples we have processed to scientists who will utilize them in experiments and analyze the results.
