I am currently studying for an undergraduate degree in marine science at James Cook University. I have a passion for marine conservation and hope to incorporate education into my interest in conservation. Ideally, I would like to work in a field that targets endangered species alongside community outreach and education projects to spread awareness. I have completed an NQF Level 5 Certificate in Conservation Ecology from the Academy of Environmental Leadership. I was elected chairperson for the 2022 year and gave the final speech at the graduation ceremony. I believe that year of study gave me practical, hands-on experiences and built up my knowledge of ecology. Some of the skills I have acquired include data collection, presenting as a tour guide in the Kgalagadi National Park in South Africa, tracking, and conflict management. I have also done previous multidisciplinary courses while studying education, educational psychology, and counselling.
