As a global executive, he was part of the turnaround team of a Disrupted global corporation making painful decisions that affected people’s lives. His multi-decade experiences as a strategy consultant focused on mentoring top executive teams in firms of all sizes facing catastrophic Disruption. His total focus as an author, speaker, game designer, lecturer on the application of complexity theory to business, and top-cited academic has been on the dynamics of Disruption. His first book, Toppling the Pyramids, correctly predicted the organizational journey businesses would make from the Industrial Age to the Information Age. His second book, Change on the Run, and his global award-winning business game, The New Economy Game, were aimed at helping organizations through the transition. His Ph.D. dissertation studied the role of personality in entrepreneurship; entrepreneurial behavior being a primary vector for Disruption. His latest book, coming soon to Amazon, The Emergence Factor, teases out the complex, interacting patterns of human behavior that have always underpinned cycles of Disruption.
