About Chantel Daoust

Born in Canada I have recently returned to Australia to finish my Bachelor of Law degree at QUT. After spending the last two years doing my degree online due to the border closure and COVID19 I am excited to get more hands on experience.Doing a law degree online with a 16 hour time change has showed me my ability to persevere and over come challenges. Before deciding to go back to university to obtain a law degree I spent many years in the Tourism and Hospitality industry. During my decade plus of services in this industry I excelled in services roles, event management, housekeeping management, and as a Senior Manager of Food and Beverage at a Marriott International branded hotel.In my role as a Senior Manager of Food and Beverage I was responsible for 5 food and beverage outlets, 18,000 sq ft of event and banquet space, as well as 5 acres of garden space that hosted wedding ceremonies and festivals.
