Project: Opportunities and Risks Posed to BBVA by Chinese State Owned Enterprise Reform- BBVA, a leading global banking group in the process of expanding its Chinese exposure, was concerned in 2015 about the effect of the reforms of Chinese state-owned enterprises (SOE) on the credit risk of its current and future portfolios. • Based on BBVA internal information and public data, reviewed past and predicted the future of SOE reforms, and assessed the likely impact of the reforms on each of 15 SOEs, based on degree of future government support and stand-alone capability. • With special attention to SOE corporate structure as well as the areas of the world and financial service provision in which BBVA had a comparative advantage, identified specific opportunities for BBVA to expand and/or limit its service provision. • Presented findings to regional credit management in Hong Kong and Shanghai.

Finance Dept. Manager, Coral Petroleum Operation Company, a joint-venture oil company funded by CNPC and other four state-owned oil enterprises (Aug 2013 – Jul 2014)• Led a 4 member team and directly reported to the president of JV, prepared & presented monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and analysis, budget adjustment, final settlement of account, cost comparison analysis and cost control through AFE approval• Responsible for the oil contract and model research, project economic evaluation, business strategy analysis, business negotiation between partners, comprehensive budget management (WPB)• Facilitated the launch of a new project, performed the feasibility report, evaluated the economic return under different scenarios, successfully signed the contract with government and launched the gas project• Cooperated well with local government and banks, organized high-level meetings between partners• Initiated to review allocation of annual operation cost and obtained the tax saving of US$2 million in 2013
