I am a decisive and engaging Market Risk leader with 18 years of experience driving risk-mitigated growth for global leaders in investment banking. My deep understanding of a wide range of vanilla and derivative instruments, modelling and analysis, as well as international regulation and evolving market behaviours, is complemented by a proven ability to facilitate profitable growth while identifying and mitigating risk with proven expertise in driving business transformation for complex global businesses.In more than a decade at Morgan Stanley as Head of Interest Rate Market Risk for EMEA, I have maintained an excellent track record with no significant P&L drawdowns while enabling our business to maintain and develop substantial market share and profitability. More recently, I have led a major firmwide programme to transition all businesses from LIBOR to new Alternative Reference Rates. With a maths degree from Imperial and a Master’s in Financial Mathematics, I have a very strong technical skillset and have designed tools, models and risk frameworks that are central to the day-to-day running of Trading and Risk.Valued for my ability to engage with senior traders and heads of business, I build trusted relationships based on my consistent ability to bring meaningful insights to risk exposures that inform hedging strategies and enable market-facing businesses to operate efficiently.
