I graduated from Harrisburg Area Community College with my Associates Degree in Science-CVT in 2009. I continued to work as a cosmetologist after graduation while I searched for a job in the Cardiac Heart Catheterization Lab. In 2011 I applied and interviewed for the job at UPMC Altoona. Upon getting the job I then relocated from Lancaster, PA to Altoona, PA and started my position as a Cardiac Cath Lab Tech. My roles and responsibilities at the hospital first and foremost is to provide excellent patient care. I also worked in the Electrophysiology lab performing diagnostic and interventional procedures. I continue to work in the Cath Lab performing diagnostic and interventional heart catheterizations as well. In 2014 I got married and then had my daughter. My husband and I decided that I would stay home during my daughters first few years before entering school and re-enter the work field when she starts school. I am currently taking college courses in intervention specialties to work with k-12 special needs.
